New looks of Youtube

New Friendly looks of Youtube

YouTube has been redesigned to be more friendly for channel surfing and social network sharing. The service is trying to get its users to spend hours instead of 15 minutes on the Website each day.

Google's YouTube unit overhauled its homepage and overall redesign to provide consumers more comfortable channel surfing, part of the video Website's ongoing effort to be a key broadcasting platform for video content.

The new homepage and channels design is colored with a gray background to match colors from the Google+ social network and dovetail with redesign color schemes of Gmail, Search and other services.
Users who sign into YouTube will be able to pick and choose among the different channels, which will appear on the left rails of the homepage.
Users may then customize their homepage feed in the middle section and flit among recommended videos in the right-hand rail. Watchers may also link their YouTube account to the Google+ social network and Facebook to see what videos, movies and TV shows friends are sharing with one another.
"We are trying hard to marry the best of TV with the best of online, so you get regular programming and come back often, but the new homepage ensures you can take channels you care about and interact with them in ways you couldn't do on TV," Shishir Mehrotra, vice president of product development at YouTube, told The New York Times.
Though still the reigning king of user-generated videos, YouTube has been steadily evolving to include more professional content in an effort to keep its millions of users more engaged for longer than the 15 minutes a day users spend on average on the site.

How To Get High Speed In 3G Connections

How To Get High Speed In 3G Connections

3G signals are generally weak, they can't penetrate buildings and other obstacles. In order to ensure a reliable connection, your modem will automatically swap between different network modes (GPRS, EDGE, 3G, HSDPA, WCDMA) depending on which is providing the strongest signal. If you're not moving around much, these mode changes are generally not required and will usually result in a slow browsing experience.

For example, you may be receiving a very strong GPRS signal (slow mode) but a much weaker HSDPA signal(fast mode). Your modem may automatically swap you over to the GPRS mode to ensure you don't get disconnected if you move around too much (ie in a car). If however you're in a static location (your house of a coffee shop) then it would be safe to remain connected in HSDPA mode and would result in a much faster browsing experience.

You need to adjust the preferences of your modem from within your connection software. You should see an option which says "3G Only", "HSDPA Only" or "WCDMA Only". Select one of these options and your connection will no longer swap over to the slower networks.

Bare in mind that if you're moving around a lot (ie in a car) then you'll want to allow the modem to automatically swap between network modes in order to give you the most reliable connection.

This simple change can instantly improve the reliability and speed up your Globe Tattoo or Smartbro browsing experience. It can also help with disconnections from yahoo messenger or MSN messenger which can sometimes occur when your modem is swapping between different network modes.

Tips for increasing your Internet connection speed in computer

Tips for increasing your Internet connection speed

Here are some Tips for increasing your Internet connection speed in computer..
Web browsers can slow down for a number of reasons, from memory leaks to bloated cache and buggy add-ons.

1. Check whether the other computers in your house are on and connected to the internet. Turn off those that aren’t in use. By doing this, you’ll eliminate the competition for bandwidth on your connection and give the computer that you’re using more of that speed.

2. Find an efficient browser. Not all browsers are created equal. Test different ones and figure out which works the best for you. Firefox, Opera, and Chrome are some of the best and fastest browsers available.

3. Observe basic computer maintenance. When the computer itself is slow, how fast your internet connection is doesn’t matter. Everything will be slow on a slow computer. Regular maintenance, like registry repair, disk cleanup and defrag will improve your computer’s performance.

4. If you’re visiting websites where graphics don’t really matter, try switching to text-only. While text-only browsing won’t help if you’re using a website that relies on video, it will speed up your connection with general browsing and save you a lot of loading time.

5. Prevent piggybacking on your connection. If you’re using a wireless connection, be sure that you’re not unwittingly sharing it with your entire neighborhood. The more computers using your wireless connection, the slower it’s going to be. If you don’t have a good password set up on your connection, create one. A password should have at least eight characters and a mixture of letters and numbers to be secure.

6. When not actively using a program, shut it down. Having a lot of background tasks running can slow your connection down significantly. There may be more programs running than you realize because many will automatically start and connect to the internet as soon as you log onto your computer. You can configure most applications to not start by themselves or to ask permission before initiating internet connection.

7. Check your computer for spyware and malware. If your connection speed has slowed suddenly for no reason you can figure out, you may have some malicious software. Malware and spyware often connect to the internet to send information back to the developer.

8. Caching can be useful and save you some time in a lot of situations, but it can also give you some problems. With over 100 million websites on the internet and at least several megabytes of information on each one, your computer’s cache is holding a lot. Try clearing your cache every once in a while and your speed may increase.

3 Special Tips

1. Set your homepage to blank

Do you always like to go to the same Web page when you launch your browser? If yes, then skip this tip. But if not, then it’s best to set your homepage to blank, as it will make your browser open a lot quicker. To change your homepage to blank, simply go to your browser’s Tools or Settings menu, find the entry that refers to homepage, and set your homepage to blank.

2. Delete temporary Internet files

Every time you visit a website, your browser saves images and other info and stores it in the cache. In theory, this is great because it speeds up opening the website the next time you visit it. Unfortunately, there is a downside to it as well – the more files get stored in the cache, the more bloated it becomes. As a result, your browser needs more time to open and your hard drive becomes cluttered. Moreover, deleting temporary Internet files will help you protect your privacy.
To clear the cache in Internet Explorer, go to Tools – Delete Browsing History. Click Delete All, then click Close. You’re done.
Firefox users need to go to Tools – Clear Private Data. Don’t forget to check the checkboxes for the things you want cleaned up, like Cache, Cookies, Search History, etc. Then click Clear Private Data Now.

3. Use pipelining

Firefox users are in luck, because their browser has a way to boost page loading time. Pipelining lets Firefox send multiple request to a single socket without having to wait for the corresponding responses, which makes all the difference.
To enable pipelining, do the following:
Open Firefox and type about:config into the address bar and hit Enter
Find network.http.pipelining, set it to True to enable pipelining
Check that network.http.proxy.pipelining is set to True
Double-click network.http.pipelining.maxrequests and set the number of requests to 8

Free Broadband Service from Google : Free ISP Google

Free Broadband Service from Google
Internet Monster Google has launch a free broadband service for Internet user. Here is the details.

Google TiSP (BETA) is a fully functional, end-to-end system that provides in-home wireless access by connecting your commode-based TiSP wireless router to one of thousands of TiSP Access Nodes via fiber-optic cable strung through your local municipal sewage lines.

Installing TiSP
Installing a typical home TiSP system is a quick, easy and largely sanitary process -- provided you follow these step-by-step instructions very, very carefully.
#1   Remove the spindle of fiber-optic cable from your TiSP installation kit.
#2   Attach the sinker to the loose end of the cable, take one safe step backward and drop this weighted end into your toilet.
#3   Grasp both ends of the spindle firmly while a friend or loved one flushes, thus activating the patented GFlush™ system, which sends the weighted cable surfing through the plumbing system to one of the thousands of TiSP Access Nodes.
#4   When the GFlush is complete, the spindle will (or at least should) have largely unraveled, exposing a connector at the remaining end. Detach the cable from the spindle, taking care not to allow the cable to slip into the toilet.
#5   Plug the fiber-optic cable into your TiSP wireless router, which has a specially designed counterweight to withstand the centripetal force of flushing.
#6   Insert the TiSP installation CD and run the setup utility to install the Google Toolbar (required) and the rest of the TiSP software, which will automatically configure your computer's network settings.
#7   Within sixty minutes -- assuming proper data flow -- the other end of your fiber-optic cable should have reached the nearest TiSP Access Node, where our Plumbing Hardware Dispatchers (PHDs) will remove the sinker and plug the line into our global data networking system.
#8   Congratulations, you're online! (Please wash your hands before surfing.)
Note: If you have any difficulty installing, operating or simply living with TiSP, we suggest joining theTiSP Help Group.
Advanced TiSP Options
Professional Installation Service
You can also choose to request our professional installation service, which dispatches an army of factory-trained, sub-contracted nanobots from the TiSP Access Node. The nanobots travel with exhilarating nano-speed through the sewer system and into your home to perform the installation service, which should be complete within 15 minutes. Note: For your own physical safety and emotional well-being and in consideration of the nanobots' working conditions, please make absolutely certain that your toilet is unoccupied at the scheduled appointment time.
In-Commode Package Delivery
With professional installation service, you can also have your Google Checkout purchases delivered directly through the sewage network into your bathroom. Each package comes pre-sealed in a watertight and nanobot-resistant bag made of biodegradable corn-based plastic. For a limited time, TiSP subscribers who sign up for a Checkout account will receive free bathroom delivery on their first ten Checkout purchases.
TiSP for Enterprise
We're actively developing a higher-performance version of TiSP specifically tailored to small and medium-sized businesses, including 24-hour, on-site technical support in the event of backup problems, brownouts and data wipes.
